The Mexican narrative and nonfiction director Natalia Almada is a two-time winner of Sundance’s Documentary Directing Award, a MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient, and one of the most incisive and forward-looking filmmakers working today. This retrospective gathers the director’s personal and political examinations of recent Mexican history as her acclaimed latest feature, Users, opens at BAM.
